BIFO Receives Up to 533,000 Euros in Government Support for Education and Work Advisory Services in Vorarlberg

Bregenz (VLK) – For almost 35 years, BIFO has been a competent contact for questions and concerns about education and work in Vorarlberg: young people and adults receive comprehensive and free advice at three locations (Bregenz, Dornbirn and Feldkirch). “The BIFO does important work both in orientation at the school-work interface and in the area of further training, realignment and qualification,” as State Councilor Marco Tittler and State Governor Barbara Schöbi-Fink emphasized. The state government will support BIFO’s services with up to 533,000 euros in 2024, Tittler announced today (December 30). BIFO’s comprehensive range of services also includes the “Talent Check” – this year around 3,600 location discussions were carried out for parents and students.

The modern world of work is subject to constant change. Both young people who decide on a career and adults who want to further their education or reorient themselves need competent support in these questions. This is where BIFO’s individual advisory service comes in: BIFO analyzes personal competencies and skills and develops educational and career paths together. “This tailor-made advice enables you to make an informed decision about which direction your career path should take,” says Tittler. This is the first step for a (further) professional career: “If this is taken correctly, each individual benefits on the one hand and the economy as a whole on the other.” State Governor Schöbi-Fink continues: “Every year, many young people are faced with the difficult decision: to make a career choice from the various professions that corresponds to their abilities and inclinations to a high degree. Through the best collaboration between students, teachers and BIFO, BIFO’s offerings have established themselves as models of success.”
In addition to individual advice, BIFO also offers the “Pfiffikus” continuing education platform, information about education and careers on the website and many other offers such as the talent check, workshops or parents’ evenings directly in schools, institutions or online. BIFO’s consultations are free, provider-neutral and all content is treated confidentially.
The state of Vorarlberg will support BIFO in 2024 with a cost contribution totaling up to 532,783 euros. BIFO Managing Director Andreas Pichler: “Under the motto ‘Fantastic for new opportunities’, we would like to continue to provide competent information, advice and orientation on all topics relating to education and careers in 2024. We appreciate the support!”
