“Poland is a strong ally, a huge supporter of Ukraine, and has generously received not only American troops, but also millions of Ukrainian refugees,” Kirby said, commenting on the purpose of the US president’s upcoming visit.
According to him, Joe Biden is looking forward to this trip. He also stressed that the United States fully appreciates the support provided by the Poles.
“President Biden wants to thank the President of Poland and the entire Polish people personally,” the administration official added.
Kirby also said that the US President during his visit to Europe intends to emphasize the importance of continued unity within NATO to respond to Russian aggression.
