Details: US President Joe Biden’s biopsy in February confirmed that the skin lesion removed from his chest was basal cell carcinoma – a common form of skin cancer – and all of the cancerous tissue was successfully removed.
Biden will continue dermatological follow-up as part of his general medical follow-up.
However, the White House doctor added, the biopsy site has healed and does not require further treatment.
In a letter released by the White House, O’Connor noted that basal cell carcinoma does not tend to spread or metastasize.
Recall: After a medical examination, US President Joe Biden was recognized as “fit for duty.”
