The appointees of the US administration’s minister Joe Biden, which will be launched on the 20th (local time), poured out a public hardline message.
In the midst of fierce checks between the U.S. and China over global hegemony, the predecessor Donald Trump expressed his intention to continue the strong public stance of the government.
◇ Finance Minister Yellen is ready to use all means According to Bloomberg News, former Federal Reserve Chairman Janet Yellen, who was appointed Finance Minister, stressed that “China is clearly our most important strategic competitor” at a confirmation hearing on the 19th.
He added that “we are ready to use all the means” to tackle China’s dumping sales, trade barriers and illegal subsidies.
Nominee Yellen stressed that “I will cooperate with allies rather than act unilaterally” to deal with China.
The Hill interpreted that this appears to be pushing for pressure on China through multilateral cooperation with allies rather than the one-sided and independent method that President Trump preferred.
There was a problem with the Blingan Trump approach, but the goal was right : Secretary of State Tony Blincoln also announced the Trump administration’s willingness to succeed the public hardline.

“In many areas I disagree with Trump’s approach, but his basic principles (for China) were correct,” Blincoln nominee said. “He said.
In particular, he stressed that the Chinese government’s crackdown on Uighur ethnic minorities in Xinjiang agrees with the Trump administration’s line of racial cleansing.
