Gaza: Indonesia condemns Israel’s brutal attack on a hospital operating in northern Gaza with financial support from Indonesia. Sarbini Abdul Murad, head of the Indonesian Medical Emergency Rescue Committee, said in an open letter to Joe Biden that the United States and President Joe Biden have tarnished humanity and torn the sense of justice by supporting the attack.
He pointed out that it is very unfortunate that the US is siding with Israel and called for an immediate ceasefire. “You have violated international law. He insulted the authority of the United Nations. Torn the sense of justice. Human values were offended. Human civilization itself has been tarnished,” the letter continued.
“We, the Indonesian people and those around the world, will continue to support the struggle to liberate the Palestinian land from Israeli Zionist colonialism,” the letter to Biden stated.
In the past few days, Israel destroyed the Al-Sifa hospital and carried out a manhunt, and after the evacuation of the patients there, the Israeli occupation forces also surrounded the Indonesian hospital in Gaza Beit Lahia. 12 people were killed when Israeli tanks fired at the hospital early Monday morning.
Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesman for the Gaza Ministry of Health, said that the situation of 600 patients, 200 employees and 2,000 refugees is alarming. The help of World Health Organization was sought to transfer those who were seriously injured in the airstrike who were being treated here to another hospital.
