The White House statement indicated that Biden would later be expected in Cambodia November 12-13, to attend the annual summit between the United States, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and the East Asian Summit. He will reaffirm the United States’ enduring commitment to Southeast Asia and the centrality of ASEAN, building on the success of the historic US-ASEAN summit in Washington, DC.
Then Biden will visit Indonesia from November 13-16 for the G20 Leaders Summit. He will commend President Widodo’s leadership in the G-20 and highlight the United States’ commitment to this key forum for economic cooperation with countries that account for over 80% of world GDP.
