The Argentine Presidency announced that President Alberto Fernandez telephoned US Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and discussed with him bilateral relations between the two countries.
And the Argentine presidential statement said on Monday that Fernandez congratulated Biden “on winning the recent elections, indicating that his victory represents a good opportunity to improve relations, so that the United States finds a common language with Latin America again.”
For his part, Biden expressed his desire for “strong relations” with Latin America, according to the statement.
Biden also referred to the difficult economic situation facing the region, stressing that assistance should be provided to Latin America.
It is noteworthy that the leading American media estimates indicate Biden winning the US presidential election, but the current President Donald Trump has not yet admitted his defeat, despite the start of the transition process in the White House.
Biden has received congratulations on the victory from many world leaders, but the official election results will be announced in December.
