Biden urged Americans to leave Ukraine

Things can quickly get out of hand – Biden

Citizens of the United States should leave Ukraine now because of the likelihood of an escalation of the conflict, the president said.

US President Joe Biden addressed compatriots in Ukraine and urged them to leave the country due to the threat of Russian invasion. The head of the White House said this in an interview with the TV channel NBC News.

“American citizens should leave now. It doesn’t look like we are dealing with a terrorist organization. We are dealing with one of the largest armies in the world. This is a completely different situation, and things can quickly get out of hand,” the president said.

A journalist asked him what scenario would prompt the US leader to send troops to rescue the evacuating Americans, Biden replied: “No. This is a world war, when the Americans and Russia start shooting at each other … We are in a completely different world than ever.”

Also the Americans immediately urged to leave Ukraine in the US State Department. Do not visit Ukraine due to the increased threat of Russian military action and COVID-19; those in Ukraine must leave now by commercial or private means.
