Biden Until Gegara Zelensky Intervenes Constantly Asks for Weapons

Jakarta

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been constantly asking for advanced weapons to deal with a Russian invasion. As is well known, the United States (US) has so far become the largest arms supply country to Ukraine.

In response to Zelensky’s request, President AS Joe Biden said he would hold a meeting. Biden will speak specifically with Zelensky.

“We will talk,” said Biden while speaking to reporters at the White House, as reported by AFP, Wednesday (1/2/2023).

US Rejects Request for F-16 Fighter Jets

Finally Zelensky asked the US for F-16 fighter jets to be operated in Kiev, but Biden refused this request. Biden stated that he would meet with Zelensky after rejecting Zelensky’s request

It said the fighter jet was at the top of the list of weapons Ukraine wanted against Russian forces.

During the invasion, a coalition of other Western countries also sent supplies of various weapons, ranging from rifles to armored vehicles and artillery, to Ukraine.

Assistance from western countries has not slowed down Russia’s attack on Ukraine. This led Zelensky to call on Western countries to send supplies of stronger and more sophisticated weapons.

England-US-Germany Have Sent Advanced Tanks Previously

On Tuesday (31/1) local time, Poland’s Deputy Defense Minister Wojciech Skurkiewicz told AFP that Poland, which is a key player in the Western coalition, is currently not having “official discussions” to send its F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
