US President Joe Biden promised to seek “full accountability” from the people responsible for the bankruptcy of Silicon Valley Bank and a second financial institution – Signature Bank, trying to reassure Americans that their deposits are safe, AFP reported.
“I am determined to hold those responsible for this mess fully accountable and to continue our efforts to strengthen oversight and regulation of the bigger banks so we don’t end up in this situation again,” Biden said.
“The American people and American businesses can have complete confidence that their bank deposits will be available when they need them,” the president added in comments he posted on Twitter.
