Biden Suggests Another Bid for Presidential Election in 2024

On Monday, US President Joe Biden hinted again of his intention to run for a second term in the presidential elections scheduled for 2024, but stressed that he is not making any official announcement in this regard at the present time. Biden has previously expressed his intention to run for the 2024 elections, but has not yet officially launched his campaign.

In a brief interview with NBC News on the South Lawn of the White House, Biden again hinted at his electoral intentions, saying, “I intend to run now, but we’re not ready to announce that yet.”

On Monday, Biden welcomed hundreds of Americans to the “Easter Egg Roll”, an annual competition considered an old tradition in force at the White House.

“I plan on participating in three or four egg-rolling competitions,” he said, adding, “Or five or six, I don’t know.”

And the US president seemed ready for an election campaign, as he hugged children and took the phones of many of the contestants to take selfies.

Biden is the oldest president in the history of the United States. He will be 86 years old when he completes a second term, and if Biden announces his candidacy for a second term, he is not expected to face any real competition in his Democratic Party.

In the Republican Party, the leading candidate for the 2024 presidential race appears to be former President Donald Trump, who was defeated by Biden in 2020.
