According to the Reuters news agency on the 20th (local time), the nominee for White House Secretary Ron Klein said in an interview with CBS in the United States, “Elect Joe Biden is preparing a way to counter the alleged Russian hacker who has penetrated the US government and companies “He said.

“It’s not just a sanction,” said Klein. “Measures and things that could weaken the ability of foreigners to attempt such attacks.”

A person familiar with the issue told Reuters that sanctions that the Biden administration can take include measures to penalize financially and retaliate against Russian infrastructure.

Russia’s presidential office, the Kremlin, has no relationship between such hacking and Russia.

Biden’s strong response to espionage by Biden, who takes office on January 20, is expected to receive bipartisan support.

Republican Senator Mitt Romney stressed that the hacking activity is “a tremendous risk,” and that “we must respond as soon as possible.”

Senate Intelligence Committee Democratic Party Secretary Mark Warner said, “The hacking may still be going on,” he said. “The United States must clearly show its enemies that’if we do this, we must fight back.'”

Democratic House Intelligence Commissioner Adam Seef also said, “The US should respond so that (the enemy) cannot even try,” he said. “We need to invest in cyber defense.”

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump blamed the media for not commenting on the possibility that China was behind the scenes, saying that the previous day, the hacking was inflated.
