Biden Signs Executive Order’Expanding Health Insurance Reform Act’ | Voice of America

US President Joe Biden signed an executive order on the 28th to expand enrollment in the Health Insurance Reform Act (ACA).

President Biden issued an executive order to expand access to medical services during the coronavirus pandemic and to withdraw some of the anti-abortion measures implemented by the former Trump administration.

To date, President Biden has signed more than 30 executive orders, reverting the policies of the former Trump administration.

In particular, the Health Insurance Reform Act aims to reduce medical costs by making it easier to receive medical service benefits in the health sector and satisfying the needs of the corona crisis.

President Biden has also signed measures to strengthen health care coverage for low-income people and initiate new public registration under ObamaCare.

The Department of Health and Human Services will create a three-month special enrollment period from 15th to 15th next month to make it easier for Americans who don’t have health insurance to get health insurance benefits.

Nearly 22 million Americans lost their jobs due to the economic recession caused by the coronavirus outbreak for more than a year, compared to last February, 9.8 million were unemployed.

Meanwhile, President Biden has also signed an executive order withdrawing the Mexico City policy against abortion.
