The United States of America will not send its military to Ukraine to protect against a possible Russian invasion of the territory of our state. Instead, the country was threatened with economic sanctions.
US President Joe Biden said this on Wednesday, December 8, at the White House, answering journalists’ questions regarding his talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, which took place the day before, reports CNN.

“We have a moral obligation and a legal obligation to our NATO allies if they are attacked under Article 5, this is a sacred obligation. This obligation does not apply to Ukraine“- said the president of the states.
The official added that he had warned Putin that in the event of a Russian attack on Ukraine, he would face sanctions “which he has never seen.”

“I was very straightforward. There were no harsh words. I was polite, but made it clear: if he really invaded Ukraine, there would be serious consequences. Such economic consequences that he had never seen and never experienced,” Biden said. adding that Putin heard and understood him.
