Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal said he supports the categorical wording of the American president Joe Biden that the leader of Russia, Vladimir Putin, is a “killer”.
The head of the Ukrainian government shared his attitude to this incident in an interview with the German newspaper Handelsblatt, the translation of which was published by the press service Cabinet of Ministers… Shmygal noted that the war that the Russian Federation unleashed in our state is the main proof that Biden is right in his judgments.
“The geopolitical situation is not simple now. The coronavirus crisis only aggravates this. Accordingly, the mood is emotional. But considering that Ukraine has been forced to resist Russian aggression for the seventh year in a row, as a result of which more than 10 thousand people died, I can only say: I support such formulations of Joe Biden“, – emphasized Shmygal.
Answering a journalist’s question about whether the reaction of the US President seemed too sharp, the Ukrainian Prime Minister said that not at all, given the attitude of the aggressor country to the entire Western world.
“Remember the visit of the high representative ES on foreign and security policy Joseph Borrell to Moscow. Then Europe has once again seen the true face of Moscow, how Russia relates to Europe and the rest of the world. This should affect the attitude of the civilized world, for example, the countries of the Group of Seven, towards Russia, “Shmygal explained his position.
As reported OBOZREVATEL, that Biden considers Putin a “killer”, it became known during an interview with the American leader on television. In addition, the US President accused his Russian counterpart of denigrating his reputation.
Putin reacted rather strangely to Biden’s words: he wished the head of the American state health and quoted a children’s proverb: “Whoever calls his name, he is called that.”
