Biden responds to Putin’s threats with nuclear weapons

US President Joe Biden said that the people of the country do not need to worry about a possible nuclear war amid statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin about the transfer of strategic forces to a “special” state of readiness. Washington is studying the Kremlin’s threats.

At one of the measures on Monday, journalists asked the head of the White House whether Americans should be afraid of a nuclear war.

“No,” the US president replied.

At the same time, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the United States is “considering and analyzing” the statement of the President of the Russian Federation.

He also noted that the country feels confident in the strategic position of deterrence, as well as the ability to protect itself and its partners.
