U.S. President-elect Joe Biden was vaccinated against the novel coronavirus yesterday (21st).
Biden received a corona vaccine jointly developed by Pfizer, a US pharmaceutical company, and Bioentech, a German company, while being broadcast on television at Cristiana Care in Newark, Delaware, near his home.
“There’s nothing to worry about,” said Biden, “to show the people of the United States that they need to be prepared when vaccination is available.”
Vice President-elect Kamala Harris is said to be vaccinated next week to set a time gap with Biden-elect.
Vice President Mike Pence, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Republican Senate Representative Mitch McConnell, who oversee the Trump administration’s corona response team, were vaccinated on the 18th.
President Donald Trump, who recovered from the coronavirus infection during the October election campaign, said he expects the vaccination “at the right time”, but the specific schedule is unknown.
