Earlier, the Washington Post newspaper said that a summit between President Biden and Xi is underway following the mid-term elections in the United States and that the goal is to alleviate conflicts over trade, infectious diseases, human rights and Taiwanese issues, including climate change.
Additionally, President Biden intends to discuss the impact of the war in Ukraine on global energy and food security at the G20 summit, US officials said.
President Biden will begin his tour by attending the 27th United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27) in Egypt on 11 and 12 and 13 at the East Asia Summit (EAS) in Cambodia.
Subsequently, they will travel to Indonesia on the 14th to attend the G20 Summit held in Bali for two days from the 15th.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian government, president of the G20 circuit, has officially confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be present at the meeting.
