Joe Biden no longer seems absolutely certain that he will run for President of the United States for the second time, leaving the Democratic Party, his top aides and potential candidates unsure about 2024 and quietly contemplating Plan B.

Details: Biden’s closest advisers spent months preparing for him to officially announce his re-election campaign.
“But since the president is still not ready to take this step, there are doubts in the talk about 2024 (when the next presidential election takes place in the United States – ed.): what if he decides not to do this?” Politico notes.
According to the publication, Biden’s advisers expected him to officially announce his participation in the elections in February, and now “they are uniting around April.”
“But even this goal is not final. People close to the president say there is no hard deadline or formal process for deciding on a start date (campaign – ed.),” writes Politico.
The publication notes that “although almost everyone in Biden’s orbit believes that he will eventually give the go-ahead,” his indecisiveness has led to a “deep freeze of the party,” which is why “some potential presidential contenders and dozens of major donors are strategizing and even Plan B while trying to maintain the respect and public support of the 80-year-old president.”
Three sources told Politico that, to the surprise of some Biden allies, he says very little about a possible election campaign.
“His daily focus is on work. Other than the occasional phone call with an adviser to discuss poll results, he spends little time debating the election. those around the president are now wondering if the future investigation into Hunter’s son will make the president change his mind about running. Others believe they won’t,” the newspaper writes.
Recall: Joe Biden recently said he intends to run for a second term in 2024, but has yet to make a “firm decision.”
