According to a US source, Ukraine plans to launch its first long-range attack on Russia in the coming days.

This attack is likely to be carried out with ATACMS rockets, which have a range of up to 306 kilometers.

The US decision was made two months before President-elect Donald Trump takes office on January 20. It is not known whether Trump will reverse Mr. Biden’s decision later when he officially takes office.

In addition, the decision also gave permission to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who for the past few months had demanded that his military be able to use the US military to attack take Russian military targets far from its borders.

Reported by Reuters, this change occurred in response to the deployment of North Korean ground troops to Russia, which were said to be trained and ready to enter the war against Ukraine.

The US estimates that more than 10,000 North Korean troops have been sent to eastern Russia. It is believed that most of them have moved to the Kursk region, and started to engage in combat operations.
