Biden is wrong to say Russia only has nuclear and oil

MOSCOW – The Kremlin said that the Presidents assessment United States of America (USA), Joe Biden on Russia was wrong. Biden mentions Russia as a country only has nuclear and oil.

The Kremlin said Biden’s assessment was highly skewed and showed a lack of knowledge about Russia.

Biden made the remarks while speaking at the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), in which he warned that if the US ends up at war with world powers it will be due to relentless cyberattacks against America. Biden highlighted what he described as a growing threat posed by Russia and China.

“He’s sitting on top of an economy that has nuclear weapons and oil wells and nothing else. Nothing else. Their economy, what?, the eighth smallest in the world right now, the largest in the world? He knows he’s a real problem, which makes it even more dangerous. , I think,” Biden said.

Responding to the statement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov acknowledged that its nuclear power, its huge oil and gas sector, was their “mainstay”. However, he stressed that Russia is not only limited to that sector, there are other things that Moscow has and has to offer.

“Claiming that there is nothing else in Russia is wrong. This is false knowledge and misunderstanding of modern Russia,” Peskov said, as reported by Reuters on Wednesday (28/7/2021).

Peskov said it looked like Biden, who was giving a speech while visiting , had adapted his message to his country’s intelligence community and wanted to make an impression.

“(The US) can hardly be called a partner. It’s more like an opponent or ‘vis-a-vis’. Still the fact that experts are sitting in Geneva today is a positive sign,” he said.

He also rejected Biden’s accusations that Russia had interfered in the US by-elections due to take place next year.
