Biden is increasingly making Russia & Belarus ‘miserable’, this is the proof!

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The United States (US) government has again announced a new round of export restrictions to Russia and Belarus, such as fertilizers and pipe valves. Previously, there were 120 entities or companies from the US which were also prohibited from exporting to Russia.

The export restrictions imposed by President Joe Biden’s government are the result of the military aggression carried out by Russia against Ukraine.

Joe Biden is said to have restricted the flights of American-made aircraft owned, controlled or chartered by Belarusians to fly to Belarus. This was done in response to the US government’s response to Belarus’ actions in support of Russia’s aggressive actions in Ukraine.

Washington has been trying to deepen sanctions on Russia and its Belarusian allies after the withdrawal of Russian troops from northern Kiev, which also later revealed the existence of a mass grave in the city of Bucha.

The US administration is targeting sanctions for Russian banks and elites as a new chapter, including barring Americans from investing in Russia.

The invasion of Russian President Vladimir Putin, which began on February 24, is the deadliest conflict in Europe since the Second World War. Russia called it a ‘special military operation’ aimed at protecting civilians.

The US Commerce Department said it would begin requiring Russia and Belarus to obtain special licenses when seeking to procure certain goods from US suppliers and promised to refuse the licenses.

These include fertilizers, pipe valves, ball bearings and parts thereof, as well as chemicals. Items made overseas with US equipment will also require a US license, which the government plans to refuse.

“This is evidence that they will continue to tighten export controls and target economically the categories they haven’t yet,” said Emily Kilcrease, senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security and former deputy assistant U.S. Trade Representative. (9/4/2022).

What is clear, the US Commerce Department revealed, it is currently increasingly restricting US goods to Russia and the number is likely to continue to grow.

Actions in late February and March placed unprecedented controls on exports of US and foreign-made goods destined for Russia or Belarus. The measures, coordinated with more than 30 other countries, limit a wide range of commodities, software and technologies.

Recently, the US Government also announced that it had added 120 companies to its list to ban the export of goods to Russia and Belarus, especially military companies.
