The “initial thought” of the US government is that Russian hackers are not the perpetrators of the latest sophisticated ransom cyber attack that has affected hundreds of US companies. This was stated today by President Joe Biden, quoted by Reuters.

According to him, it is not yet known who is behind the attack, but if it is Russia, a response from the United States will follow. He added that he had ordered the intelligence services to investigate, BTA reported.

Earlier today, it became clear that a ransom cyber attack had been carried out, paralyzing the networks of at least 200 companies in the United States.
