(CNN) US President Biden said on the 24th, referring to the solidarity between Russia and China, which held a summit in Moscow earlier, “I think we are exaggerating.”
He made the remarks at a press conference in Ottawa, Canada. “We are the ones who are expanding the alliance,” he said.
“I’m not taking China or Russia lightly,” Biden said, referring to recent warnings from US officials that China was considering increasing military aid to Russia.
“China hasn’t done it yet,” he said. “Whatever happened, the West has responded with significantly more solidarity,” he said.
It is said that alliances have been strengthened through the G7 (seven major countries), the “Quad” alliance, which includes India in addition to Japan, the United States, and Australia, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and the security cooperation framework “AUKUS” between the United States, Britain, and Australia. “I have met with 80% of the world’s leaders,” he continued.
