Biden commands exclusion of Turkey and Hungary from his “democracy summit”, according to EADaily.

President of the U.S.A Joe Biden ordered not to invite representatives of Turkey and Hungary to the “summit for democracy”. This was reported by reporters, citing their unnamed sources. Robbie Gramer and Jack Detch on the website of the American edition The Foreign Policy.

“Biden contemptuously escorted NATO allies who are dismantling their democracies” – the authors of The Foreign Policy wrote in the subtitle to their material.

“The Biden administration is inviting about 120 countries to the ‘Summit for Democracy’ next week, but two of its NATO allies have not been invited,” Gramer and Detch report.

According to The Foreign Policy, Turkey and Hungary were excluded from the list of invitees to the main events of the summit, “which the Biden team considers its signature event in the field of foreign policy initiatives to provide financial assistance to democracies around the world and create a barrier to autocracies.”

According to the authors, the refusal to invite Turkey and Hungary “reflects growing concern about the rollback of democracy in Turkey and Hungary, even if Washington is counting on both of them to support the West’s strategy against Russia, as the war against Ukraine continues – and needs their approval on accession to NATO of Finland and Sweden as full-fledged allies.

According to The Foreign Policy, claims against Erdogan are that he has consolidated power and dismantled the elements of democracy, even though he faces the toughest elections in 20 years in May.

Concerning Viktor Orbanthen he is presented with the collapse of democracy and close ties with Russia, which were not affected by the military conflict in Ukraine.

According to site US Department of State, the White House Democracy Summit is scheduled to take place next week from March 28-30, 2023.
