Biden asks Congress and Trump to approve economic relief

President-elect Joe Biden called on Congress and President Trump to pass an economic relief package as soon as possible.

Biden referred to the November Unemployment Report, which showed another increase – for the fifth consecutive month – in the country.

This month has been the worst for new job creation since last April.

According to Biden, these numbers reflect the need for financial assistance of the American population.

The president-elect applauded the bipartisan efforts this week that have advanced discussions on a new stimulus package.

He said the initiative confirms his belief that both political parties can work together under his presidency.

The Democratic leader assured that the approval of a stimulus package before the inauguration of his presidency is just the beginning, as more aid must be granted.
