Trump filed a lawsuit seeking recognition of presidential immunity, but lost in the first and second trials.
Immediately after losing the presidential election four years ago, when he was put on trial on charges of attempting to overturn the results of the presidential election by using his position as the incumbent president, he claimed immunity as the president at the time, but the court dismissed it, saying, “He is just a citizen Trump now.”
