NEW YORK — Voters in four states decided Tuesday on their parties’ presidential candidates, a largely symbolic vote now that both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have secured the Democratic and Republican nominations.
Biden and Trump easily won the primaries in Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York and Wisconsin. Their victories earn them delegates to their party conventions this summer.
The results, although unsurprising, will offer clues about the enthusiasm of base voters for the rematch between the two virtual candidates.
According to NBC News projections, with 75% of the votes counted, President Biden obtained 95.1%.
While Trump, with 81% of the votes, obtained 82%.
The results allow us to project the number of delegates What each one has.
