Biden said in a speech in Wilmington, Delaware that day, the Corona 19 situation in the United States would worsen.
He said that the cumulative death toll of Corona 19 in the United States is approaching a gloomy milestone of 400,000 people.
Biden said he would expand the supply of syringes, needles, vials and various equipment necessary for vaccination through private companies.
Biden said, “Now the health of the country is literally in jeopardy, so it’s time to set big goals and pursue those goals with courage and confidence.”
He also announced on the first day of his inauguration that he would instruct the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to establish federally funded community vaccine centers in places such as school gyms and sports centres.
Biden is planning thousands of community vaccination centers.
Biden’s goal is to vaccinate 100 million people by the 100th day after taking office, and plans to complete the vaccination of front-line workers, including teachers, emergency responders, and grocery store employees, including senior citizens over 65.
He said he would use pharmacies and mobile clinics, as well as promote vaccination programs in high-risk environments such as homeless shelters, prisons, and centers for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Biden said he would sign an executive order requiring the public to wear masks in the area where he is authorized.
