Biden Agrees Pentagon Chief Made Mistake in Hiding Hospitalization, But Says He Has Confidence in Him

US President Joe Biden agreed that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin made a mistake by not informing him of his hospitalization earlier this year.

He told reporters about this on January 12 during a visit to Allentown in Pennsylvania, European Pravda reports.

Asked if he agreed that Austin made a mistake by not warning about the hospitalization, Biden replied: “Yes.”

At the same time, when asked whether the head of the Pentagon has the confidence of the US President, the latter just as briefly said: “Yes.”

The White House simultaneously stated that Austin actively participated in US airstrikes against Houthi targets in Yemen.

As you know, Austin has been in the hospital since January 1 after complications from surgery. Walter Reed National Military Medical Center announced that Austin had was diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The White House previously said that US President Joe Biden does not consider the possibility of Austin being fired after he hid his hospitalization for several days.
