Biden admits that Putin has "isolated himself" and fired some advisers

Speaking for the first time about Western assessments of tensions in the Kremlin over the war in Ukraine, Biden also said he was “skeptical” of Moscow’s claim that it was reducing attacks in some parts of Ukraine.

He also said that he was not sure about the actions of the Russian army in Ukraine after Moscow’s announcement of its withdrawal from Kiev and Chernihiv. He acknowledged that any withdrawal of force from these cities, if any, could only be done with the aim of intensifying the attacks in Donbass.
