Summer, sun, sweaty helmet?! Trek has revised its WaveCel technology in 3 bicycle helmets so that more air can reach the head. We show the 3 new MTB helmets Quantum, Rally & Blaze and their features.
Trek today introduced three mountain bike helmets that either improve or completely re-implement its already well-known WaveCel safety technology. These helmets cover the entire spectrum of riders, from beginners to experienced enduro riders.
What’s new: All of these 3 helmet models are equipped with the lighter and cooler WaveCel technology. Trek states that the “cell walls” – the material of the WaveCel honeycomb – save 15 grams in weight and at the same time ensure better air circulation with a 10% larger cell structure. WaveCel is a foldable cell structure that lines the inside of the helmet and is said to protect the head more effectively than foam helmets in certain cycling accidents.
