‘Bible 23’ Marthoma Ever Rolling Trophy goes to Swords Kurbana Center for the third time

Dublin ∙ The grand finale of the Dublin Syro-Malabar Church Bible Quiz – Biblia 23 was held at Our Lady of Victorious Church, Glasnevin. Teams from eleven kurban centers took part in the competition and Swords Kurban Centen won the first Marthoma Ever Rolling Trophy and a €500 cash award from Spice Bazaar Dublin. Team Swords are champions for the third time in a row. St. Paul’s Ever Rolling Trophy and a €350 cash prize were awarded to Lucan Mass Center in second place.

Tala Kurbana Center bagged the St. Patrick’s Ever Rolling Trophy for third place and a cash award of €250. A team of nine who competed together won fourth place. The cash prizes were sponsored by Spice Bazaar Asian Super Market.

The team members of Swords Kurbana Center who won first place – Augustus Benedit, Kevin Diaz, Johan Jobi, Jesna Jobi and Smitha Shinto.

Team members of Lucan Mass Center who won second place – Elsa Sumod, Gerald Martin Menachery, Anna Jobin, Leo George Biju and Nisi Martin.

1st place team of Thala Kurbana Center – Aarav Anish, Samuel Suresh, Irene Soni, Alina Tojo, Marina Wilson

V. The program started with the Mass. Fr. Joseph Mathew inaugurated at Oliakkat. General Coordinator of the European Apostolic Visitation of the Syro Malabar Church Rev. Dr. Clement Padathiparampil moderated the program. Catechism Director Fr. Roy Wattakat, Fr. Seban Sebastian Vellamathara Catechism Coordinator Jose Chacko, Zonal Secretary Binujit Sebastian, Zonal Trustees Binoy Jose and Joby John led the way. Many people from all over Ireland attended the event to support and encourage the participating teams. Vicar of Glasneville Fr. Frank Rybyrne distributed the prizes.

This year, more than 600 believers from eleven Mass Centers participated in the Bible Quiz competitions organized by the Catechism Department of the Dublin Syro Malabar Church for many years with the aim of enabling the faith community to gain more knowledge about the Bible and the saints of the Church.
