Twenty-year-old Tomáš Mikyska, who made his debut among the elite in 60th place in the sprint a week ago, may present himself a little surprisingly in the first section.
“Tomča shoots well from the beginning. He was able to cope with the difficult conditions that prevailed during training. I don’t think he should be able to handle the first section. The first section would not have to be driven at such a fast pace, which could be an advantage for him as a young competitor, coach Ondřej Rybář explained his choice for the official website of Czech biathlon.
Ondřej Moravec, Tomáš Krupčík and Michal Krčmář will ride on other sections. The Czechs will defend the sixth place in the Nations Cup.
