LYGNA (Nettavisen): When Tandrevold was 15 years old, she tried her hand at cycling and really beat herself up. She ended up knocking out some teeth and having to sew up her lip.
This has left its mark on the exuberant biathlete, and she says that she has been asked many questions about what has happened to her lip, which she herself points out is slightly larger on one side.
– I occasionally get asked if I sniff, because it looks like I have a bit of a natural snuff lip. But I don’t do that, she tells Nettavisen, and explains that it stems from the bicycle accident.

Those who are a little extra observant may have noticed that Tandrevold also has a small scar just above one lip. The scar also stems from the accident, after she had to sew.
Although she was warned by her mother to use sunscreen on the scar to make it less visible, 15-year-old Ingrid chose not to listen to her mother.
– You know what it’s like when you’re 15 and your mum says you have to use sunscreen on your scars. Then you do exactly the opposite. I regret that now, so I just say: use sunscreen. That is the most important tip I have, she says.
According to Tandrevold, however, the bicycle accident is far from the only time her face has taken a bit of a beating.

During the run-up to the WC, she fell on her skis, and once again it was her face that had to take the brunt.
– I clearly lack the reflexes to greet myself with my hands. I always end up landing on my face. I faceplant every time I fall. So then my face gets a bit of a lift, she says and laughs, as she points to a small notch on her face.
Tandrevold’s lip has also become a topic in one of the videos she has posted on YouTube where she has a vlog, following questions from viewers.
– You can just think that I have a slightly weird lip, but that I have not in any way thought of filling my lips or doing anything with them, because they can just be as they are. This is how I am, and this is how I look, she tells her fans there.

Drama i VM
However, a small scar or a slightly uneven lip does not stop Tandrevold from the ski track with the stock on his back. She has had a slightly variable start at the WC in Oberhof, but was part of the Norwegian team that won gold in the mixed relay.
At the start of the hunt on Sunday, she moved up to 4th place, but it didn’t happen without some drama during the race.

A mistake on her time made the commentators and TV viewers think Tandrevold had forgotten to go a penalty round, which was not the case.
– I didn’t catch it on the way, but I heard it afterwards. I was glad I didn’t start thinking about it along the way. The seconds were very good at holding the mask. I think they had more sweat on their foreheads than what they radiated, said Tandrevold in the press zone after the race, according to NTB.
In any case, she was satisfied with the race, and on Wednesday the normal program over 15 km awaits Tandrevold and the rest of the biathlon women. The race starts at 2.30 pm and is broadcast on NRK.
