Last week, the best biathletes completed the last World Cup races before the World Championships in February in Nové Město, Moravia, Czech Republic. But another championship started today. However, elite competitors usually do not complete the European Championship.
The program of the championship in the Slovakian Brezno-Osrblie area started with today’s individual races for women and men. Tomorrow, biathletes will have a single day of choice as part of the championship, which will last until Saturday. From Friday to Sunday, there are sprints, pursuit races and mixed team races, whether it’s pairs or four-man relays.
The “big” world championship is being organized by the Czech Republic this year, and will be held in Nové Město in Moravia. The championship will start on Wednesday, February 7 and end on Sunday, February 18.
