Jakarta, CNN Indonesia —
Social media is enlivened with the news of job applicants who did not pass due to BI checking. The job applicant has a BI checking with a collectibility status (col) of five.
“Damn it, five people freshgrad register at the office where I work, none of the five passed due to BI Checking Kol 5, uwaww,” wrote the Twitter account @kawtuz, Wednesday (21/8).
BI checking is checking credit history in the Bank Indonesia Debtor Information System carried out by the debtor. Currently, BI checking has changed to the OJK Financial Information Service System (SLIK).
One of the services issued is iDeb. iDeb will later provide individual debtor information (IDI) regarding the smooth payment of one’s credit.
Quoting the official website of the Ministry of Finance, collectability (col) is a classification of the status of the state of payment of interest installments or principal installments and credit interest by the debtor as well as the level of possibility of receiving back funds invested in securities or other investments.
Collectibility status in the banking world is classified by the central bank into five col statuses from the highest to the lowest. Col-1 means smooth, Col-2 means under special attention, Col-3 means substandard. Then Col-4 means doubtful and Col-5 means stuck.
Special Col-5 represents the principal installments and loan interest that are not paid by the debtor with arrears in payment of principal and/or interest for more than 180 days, so that the bank is obliged to carry out the most recent settlement of problem loans, namely auctioning off collateral to cover the Provision for Earning Assets (PPAP) formed 100 percent of productive assets to cover the worst credit risk.
Quoted from the Technical Guide for iDeb Requests Through iDebKu released by the OJK, here’s the complete BI checking method or Financial Information Service System (SLIK):
