BI announces deportation of 4 Indian and 1 Taiwanese fugitives.

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) in the Philippines announced that one Taiwanese and four Indian fugitives will be deported to their home countries to stand trial for various crimes. The BI’s Fugitive Search Unit (BI-FSU) apprehended the individuals in two separate operations, with the Indians said to face charges relating to murder, violation of the Explosive Substances Act 2001 and the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act 1967 of India. Meanwhile, the Taiwanese national has been wanted by authorities in Taiwan for alleged involvement in illegal drug trading. The foreigners have been transferred to the BI’s warden facility in Bicutan, Taguig, and will be blacklisted to prevent their return to the Philippines.
