Federal Minister Schramböck hands over copies of the “Hofburg DKT” to a care facility for children and young people
Vienna / Lower Austria (OTS / BMDW / BHÖ) – Just before Christmas, Economics Minister Margarete Schramböck gave 170 children in Lower Austria a special gift. Schramböck, together with Burghauptmann Reinhold Sahl, handed over 23 copies of the limited DKT special edition “Hofburg Wien” to the charitable association “Rettet das Kind NÖ”. This means that each supervised residential unit receives at least one of the games. The chairman of “Save the Child Lower Austria”, member of the state parliament, Christoph Kaufmann, accepted the games on behalf of the children and thanked them for the extraordinary Christmas present.
“Board games have the fascinating property of bringing people of all ages together. Especially in today’s difficult times, it is important to collect positive experiences and to promote cohesion among children and young people. With the “Hofburg DKT” you can experience Austria’s architectural heritage in a unique way and try out your economic talent. I wish the young people a lot of fun playing and a nice time together. “Said Federal Minister Schramböck.
“When developing the game, it was important to us to make the Hofburg Vienna as one of the world’s most important, profane building complexes and their different uses understandable and to bring players of all ages closer to them.”, Explains Burghauptmann Sahl and adds, “The specialty the game lies in the nature of the Hofburg, which is to be discovered. We wish the young players a lot of fun with the game. “
The non-profit and non-partisan association “Rettet das Kind” has existed since 1956 and supports children and young people in often difficult but formative phases of their lives with respect and confidence. In Lower Austria, the association with 250 employees at 22 locations gives 170 children and young people a home. He is one of the largest partners in child and youth welfare in Lower Austria.
DKT – the commercial talent – has been one of the most popular games in Austria for over three generations and is available in numerous versions. This unique DKT special edition is located on the grounds of the Hofburg Vienna, which was awarded the European Heritage Seal in 2016. The game is published by the Burghauptmannschaft Austria. In this DKT special edition, the players get the chance to do business themselves and to lease historical areas, splendid parks and squares in order to use event rooms and museums. Put on a board, the area of the Hofburg Vienna is a piece of Austrian history with reference to the present. The game is available from the Burghauptmannschaft Österreich (Hofburg Wien, Schweizerhof) and online at www.dkt-hofburg-wien.eu available.
