BGN 1.9 million for farmers injured in the fires this summer. See the rates – Agro Plovdiv – 2024-10-07 16:55:41


184 producers will receive the de minimis aid

The Management Board of the State Fund for Agriculture (the Board of the State Fund for Agriculture) approved a financial resource in the amount of BGN 1,922,000 for de minimis aid to compensate for damages from fires in 2024 to 184 farmers.

As a result of the series of fires during the summer months covering different regions of the country, agricultural areas, crops and animals were destroyed. Farmers suffered significant losses that they could not recover on their own and which affected the viability of their farms.

Based on the findings made by the expert commissions and the issued protocols and after summarizing the data, eligible for support are:

• 168 farmers for 3,387.62 ha with affected areas/crops

• 16 farmers with 858 units. bee families, 10 pcs. ewes and 718 sheep. beehives

The approved unit rates are:

• permanent plantations (fruits, vineyards) – BGN 8,763/ha;

• other perennials (rosehip, lavender, rose hip, salvia)

– BGN 1,231/ha;

• nuts (almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts) – BGN 2,864/ha;

• field crops (wheat, triticale, corn, barley, sunflower) – BGN 1,900/ha;

• pastures and meadows – BGN 214/ha;

• meadows – BGN 256/ha;

• bee colonies – BGN 191/unit;

• beehives – BGN 174/piece;

• ewes – BGN 324/piece.

The maximum amount of aid de minimis for one farmer or the same enterprise cannot exceed the BGN equivalent of 25,000 euros (BGN 48,895.75) for a period of three consecutive budget years (2022 – 2024).

The DF “Agriculture”, together with the competent directorates in the Ministry of Agriculture, is to prepare instructions for providing the aid.

To date, BGN 258,639 in de minimis benefits have been paid to farmers affected by the fires this summer.
