Very interesting information about Kiril Domuschiev‘s history with CSKA was revealed in Spain by the Bulgarian journalist Andrey Demirev. It concerns the reason why the businessman gave up the “reds” and started financing people from Razgrad.
Demirev lives in Spain, his wife is from Bilbao, and was asked to comment on the upcoming clash between Ludogorets and Athletic Bilbao in the Europa League. The journalist does not hide that when he was younger he was a fan of Levski.
He reveals that Domuschiev’s dream was to buy CSKA, but he was asked for 10 million to cover the debts and more for the then owner. Around 2009, when the rise of the Eagles began, CSKA was owned by Dimitar Borisov and Ivo Ivanov.
“The current owner of Razgrad refused to give that money. So he bought Ludogorets, which had little history and very few fans. This lack of pressure suited him well, because in Bulgaria there are teams where the ultras have considerable power and can dictate ownership. In Razgrad, this is not the case,” explains Demirev, quoted by footboom1.com/es.
“This is an artificial team, we can compare it with RB Leipzig in Germany,” adds the journalist, who says that salaries in Ludogorets are between 30 and 60,000 euros per month.
