(Seoul = Yonhap News) Reporter Ahn Yong-soo = Jeff Bezos, Amazon’s chief executive officer (CEO), announced that he would withdraw from the CEO post in the third quarter of this year, reported by foreign media including AP and AFP on the 2nd (local time).
The successor CEO will be Andy Jassy, CEO of Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Bezos will serve as Amazon’s board of directors.
Bezos has been running Amazon for the past 30 years, starting with Internet book sales and now growing into the largest online seller.
