Thanks to their victory over Dax (40-14), the Biterrois entered the top 6. They are not getting excited, however.
This has been smelling good for a while now: an increasingly polished game, forwards who play the role of movers, a true conductor hinge and above all (finally!), a certain ability to hold on for eighty minutes . It was enough for Béziers to gain precious points and thanks to a new success at home, this Friday, November 17, against Dax (40-14), reached the top 6.
“The hardest thing is to stay in the top 6”
ASBH now occupies fifth place, two points ahead of Colomiers, sixth, and four lengths behind Provence Rugby, fourth, and Nevers, third. On Friday December 1, the arrival of Montauban (the seventh), at the Raoul-Barrière stadium, promises to be particularly decisive for Béziers, in terms of progress. Above all, in a laudable quest for stability in the wagon of the qualified: “The easiest thing is to get into the top 6 and the hardest thing is to stay there, do not hide Karne Kaufana, the coach of the three quarters of Béziers. The season is still long. We must continue to work on the basics, on everything that will help us stay at this level and above all not try to show off. There are still areas to improve, whether it is discipline or touch. There are also quite a few balls dropped during aerial duels. So let’s keep our feet on the ground, let’s remain humble. Otherwise, others will come and take our place. The focus must remain on ourselves!”
The upcoming weekend break will, in any case, do good before a next block of three matches during which, after receiving Montauban, the Biterrois will have to go to Biarritz, then to Valence Romans.
