What was the trigger for your reflection then?
After the 32nd Coupe de France finals against Ajaccio with this audience despite the Covid, it brought back some good memories. I missed that adrenaline. It was an electric shock. Staying in St Brice would not have bothered me but from the moment when clubs asked me, I could not refuse. It was only the choice of destination that had to be weighed.
The Béziers club stood out in the transfer window. Is the climb the goal?
Winning the most matches is the goal, then we’ll see in December. For the moment, we are getting ready without making too much noise.
Start of the championship this Saturday in Angoulême. Is the team up to speed?
Like any team at the start of the championship, the team is gauged, we get to know each other. There are adjustments, it will be done little by little. We have a young team that has a lot to improve. We are working on it to be present as quickly as possible in this championship which is going very, very hard.
A word on this hen D?
There are great small teams, reserves of professional clubs and teams with ambitions such as Canet. It’s a group that will be complicated, nothing will be given to us, we will be expected. We will come on tiptoes and we will try to take as many points as possible as soon as possible.
