The bridge from Vadu Pașii, over the Buzău river, was inaugurated on Saturday with two separate ceremonies, on both ends: on one side the County Council, led by PSD, and on the other by the liberal mayor of the locality, the publication reports Șansa News from Buzău county.
Two ribbons were cut, each with a political camp. Thus, the first three people from PSD Buzău lined up at the end of the bridge from the city, while at the opposite end was the PNL mayor of Vadu Pașii, Gheorghe Firon, surrounded by political supporters and locals.
The director of the company that carried out the works explained why there were two ceremonies.
“Because that’s what I thought, so no one knew, until Mr. Neagu arrived. I gave him a cut, he didn’t want to. Beyond is Vadu Pașii, the mayor is from PNL and here is PSD. And it’s good to reconcile them. I have nothing to do with either. And I brought them to the middle of the bridge, I also brought the priest, also my initiative. This is what we wanted and this is how it was achieved “, said Victor Vasilescu, general manager of SC Integral SA Buzău.
In addition, the works have not yet been paid for.
“The costs were 26 million lei. The builder’s labor was not paid. We are in litigation now, on this issue, with the County Council. I paid 17 lei per hour to unskilled workers, and I have only 5 lei in my estimate. I should receive about 4 million lei more. It’s a lot! ”, Victor Vasilescu also specified.
The road connection between Buzău and Vadu Paşii has been interrupted for over 16 years, after the old bridge, built according to Anghel Saligny’s plans, was severely damaged by floods.
