Yesterday we reported on a major leak revealing the Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition. How big, you might ask? Well, not only the leaked title with images and all Achievements. The game itself was even available to some users.
This makes it hard to pretend the game doesn’t exist, so Ubisoft has now confirmed it on X. Unfortunately, it won’t be released this month (as the original Beyond Good and Evil turned 20 years ago a few weeks ago), and Ubisoft says that the “can’t wait to show you more about this special edition, more news coming in early 2024”. As for the version that some have already downloaded and played, the company claims that it was not finished, adding that they “want to assure our community that this build is not indicative of the finished game”.
We also learn that Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition’s launch will take place in early 2024, and Ubisoft finally says that they are “dedicated to making it an experience that truly honors the legacy of the original”.
