“Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour: A 2.5 Hour Spectacular featuring all 16 songs from her new album”

Who expects a round “greatest hits”, is down for the trouble at the “Renaissance” shows. Beyoncé sings all 16 songs from her new record of the same name in a show of 2.5 hours, which irrevocably kills audience favorites. Compromise: Let them be heard briefly as samplelike “Bootylicious” (still from Destiny’s Child) and “Single ladies”.

The show is divided into seven chapters, covering songs from different albums by style and message. There is a love medley, a series of songs about identity such as “Formation” or “Black Parade” and songs about family happiness. The decibels and the atmosphere peak especially during the hits, the first time with “Break my soul”, then during the rousing “Run the world (girls)” and breakthrough hit “Crazy in love”. But: the atmosphere never completely dies down during this powerful and technically perfect show.
