New York: The US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration warns that a strong solar wind may hit Earth. Reports indicate that the solar wind, formed as a result of coronal mass ejections (CMEs), a phenomenon that ejects plasma and magnetospheres from the Sun’s halo into space, may blow to Earth.

Two coronal mass ejections occurred following the August 5 solar flare. Reports also indicate that one coronal mass ejection was swallowed by another. A coronal mass ejection engulfing another is called a cannibal CME. Experts say that such an intense CME can lead to a solar wind.
It is indicated that this solar wind will target the Earth. There are concerns that an explosion on the Sun will affect radio waves on Earth. Experts warn that lightning flashes of ultraviolet rays released by such explosions can cause radio blackouts.
