It seems that an overzealous street worker has placed the traffic sign on Jan Smitzlaan very prominently, but according to the municipality of Eindhoven it is different.
First there were concrete blocks around the sign and diagonal stripes were painted that drivers were not allowed to drive over. These have been removed because the traffic situation in the street is being adjusted. According to the municipality, the traffic sign also had to be removed, but that did not happen for an unknown reason.
“We are aware of the situation and for safety purposes we will be placing additional elements around the sign tonight,” the municipality said Studio040. The sign will be removed on Friday.
