He added, the risk factors for developing hypertension are divided into two. First, risk factors that are individual or inherent in a person such as heredity genetically. Doctor Susetyo said that these risk factors are difficult to change.
“If all family members have hypertension, there is a big possibility that later we will also have hypertension,” he said.
Apart from that, there are also other factors such as old age and gender.
“Age more than 60 years, then 30 percent more risk of experiencing hypertension. Then gender. It is stated that the male sex is more prone to hypertension than the female sex,” he added.
